Logan Wescott
President

Hailing from the legendary Olympic village of Lake Placid, New York, Logan's upbringing was immersed in the legacy of athletic greatness, notably inspired by the historic "Miracle on Ice" of 1980. His early exposure to elite sports set the stage for his lifelong passion for hockey and skiing, where he excelled in both disciplines.

 

Transitioning to the west coast, Logan furthered his education at San Diego State University while also showcasing his athletic prowess as a member of the SDSU football team. Post-graduation, Logan embarked on a fulfilling career journey, initially delving into the realms of television and radio, specializing in selling major sporting events for prestigious networks such as NBC.

 

Beyond media, Logan's love for hockey led him to officiate games in the American Hockey League, providing him with a firsthand perspective of the dynamic sport he holds dear. Noteworthy among his accomplishments was his pivotal role in the inception of the Las Vegas Desert Dogs, where he collaborated with acclaimed personalities like Joe Tsai, Wayne Gretzky, Steve Nash, and Dustin Johnson.

 

With a track record of excellence, passion for sports, and a keen eye for opportunity, Logan's diverse experiences have shaped him into a multifaceted professional in the sports industry. His unwavering commitment to advancing the world of athletics continues to leave a lasting impact, as he embarks on this new chapter as President of NVIHOA and Regional Sales Manager at the forefront of ice resurfacing technology with the Zamboni Company.

Dave Rocco
Vice President

Dave Rocco is a multifaceted individual with a passion for ice hockey and a commitment to excellence in both sports and business. As the Vice President of the Nevada Ice Hockey Officials Association (NVIHOA), Rocco brings his leadership abilities to the forefront, overseeing the operations of the organization dedicated to the development and support of ice hockey officials. With his extensive experience and expertise, Rocco has made significant contributions to the sport, demonstrating his dedication to the growth and improvement of ice hockey officiating.

 

In addition to his role with NVIHOA, Rocco serves as the Service Center Manager at FedEx Freight, where he showcases his exceptional leadership abilities in running a large corporate department. His well-rounded background and diverse skill set make him a valuable asset in both the sports and business worlds.

 

Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Rocco's love for ice hockey and officiating has propelled him to a remarkable 30+ year career as an official. His commitment to the sport and his unwavering dedication to the NVIHOA have earned him a reputation as a respected veteran on the board. Rocco's leadership, expertise, and commitment to excellence continue to drive success in the Nevada Ice Hockey Officials Association and his other professional endeavors.

 

Outside of his professional pursuits, Rocco excels in balancing the demands of his professional and personal life. His ability to maintain a healthy work-life balance is a testament to his organizational skills and his commitment to both his career and his family.

Jeff Lewis
Secretary

Jeff comes from Cleveland, Ohio. With over 30 years of dedicated experience across nearly every level of hockey, Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep passion for the sport to the role of Secretary at the Nevada Hockey Officials Association.

Starting as a young referee and working their way through various leagues, Jeff has officiated games at almost every level of hockey. This extensive experience has not only honed their skills on the ice but also provided them with a comprehensive understanding of the game’s rules, dynamics, and the unique challenges faced by officials at different levels.

In their role as Secretary, Jeff is responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating communication among members, and ensuring the smooth operation of the association’s administrative functions. Their long-standing involvement in hockey and commitment to the officiating community make them a key asset in fostering a professional and supportive environment for officials.

Outside of their administrative duties, Jeff is known for mentoring new officials, sharing insights from their vast experience, and promoting the development of the next generation of hockey referees. Their dedication to the sport extends beyond the rink, contributing to the overall growth and professionalism of hockey officiating in Nevada.

Craig Vinciguerra
Treasurer

 

Craig Vinciguerra is a highly accomplished individual who serves as the treasurer and finance expert for the Nevada Ice Hockey Officials Association (NVIHOA). With his expertise and dedication, Craig has played a pivotal role in modernizing the association's operations, bringing them into the digital age. He successfully transitioned the association from using paper checks to implementing direct deposit systems, greatly streamlining the financial processes.

Craig's commitment to progress is evident in his efforts to upgrade the association's systems, such as transitioning from traditional timekeeping methods to the advanced Horizon Web Ref platform. Thanks to his contributions, NVIHOA has made significant strides, leaving behind the days of hand-written schedules and embracing more efficient and sophisticated approaches.

 

With over two decades of experience as an official with USA Hockey, Craig has consistently excelled at every level of the game. From collegiate matches to junior leagues and USA Hockey tournaments, he has showcased his expertise and passion for the sport. His remarkable skills have earned him the privilege of representing USA Hockey in seven national championships.

 

Not only does Craig excel on the ice, but he also plays an important role as an off-ice official for the NHL, serving as an arena technical coordinator. This position highlights his ability to handle critical responsibilities and contribute to the smooth operation of high-profile events.

 

Craig's leadership style is characterized by his hands-on approach and leading by example. He actively engages in the tasks at hand, demonstrating his commitment to the success of NVIHOA and its members. His extensive experience as both a treasurer and an experienced official makes him an invaluable asset to the association.

Jackson Kozari
Director at Large
 

Jackson Kozari is an esteemed figure in the world of ice hockey officiating, currently serving as the Director at Large of the Nevada Ice Hockey Officials Association. With a wealth of experience and an impressive skill set, Jackson has established himself as a highly skilled referee, primarily officiating games in the American Hockey League.

 

Hailing from British Columbia on the west coast of Canada, Jackson's passion for officiating began at a young age. Growing up in an officiating family, with his father Steve serving as a referee in the NHL and his brother Nate making his mark in the NAHL and USHL, Jackson was immersed in the world of hockey from an early age.

 

Throughout his career, Jackson has officiated at various levels, including USA Hockey, ACHA, BCHL, NAHL, and currently, the Western Hockey League (WHL) and American Hockey League (AHL). His expertise and deep understanding of the game have earned him the respect of players, coaches, and fellow officials alike.

 

But Jackson's impact extends beyond the ice. His dedication to nurturing and mentoring young officials has made him a respected leader in the NVIHOA. Through his development seminars, Jackson generously shares his knowledge and experiences, shaping the next generation of officials and ensuring the integrity of the sport.

 

With his exceptional talents, unwavering commitment, and genuine desire to give back, Jackson Kozari is a true asset to the world of ice hockey officiating. His contributions have left an indelible mark on the sport, making him a revered figure among his peers.
