Ryan Honig
President

Ryan Honig is a multifaceted individual with a diverse range of skills and experiences. As the President of the Nevada Ice Hockey Officials Association (NVIHOA), he brings his leadership abilities to the forefront, overseeing the operations of the non-profit organization dedicated to the development and support of ice hockey officials.

 

In addition to his role with NVIHOA, Ryan is also the President/Owner of HonigGroup, LLC, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen. With a strong educational foundation from William Paterson University of New Jersey, Ryan has cultivated a wealth of knowledge and expertise to excel in his various endeavors.

 

Originally from New Jersey, Ryan's passion for ice hockey and officiating has taken him to Nevada, where he has made significant contributions to the sport. His dedication to the growth and improvement of ice hockey officiating is evident through his leadership and commitment to the NVIHOA.

 

Outside of the world of hockey, Ryan has an impressive track record in the travel and tourism industry. As an Experienced General Manager, Director of Franchise Operations, and Revenue Manager, he has consistently taken on increasing responsibilities and delivered proven results. This demonstrates his ability to excel in diverse professional environments and adapt to new challenges.

 

Ryan's well-rounded background and diverse skill set make him a valuable asset in both the sports and business worlds. His leadership, expertise, and commitment to excellence continue to drive success in the Nevada Ice Hockey Officials Association and his other professional endeavors.

Vice President

Dave Rocco is a multifaceted individual with a passion for ice hockey and a commitment to excellence in both sports and business. As the Vice President of the Nevada Ice Hockey Officials Association (NVIHOA), Rocco brings his leadership abilities to the forefront, overseeing the operations of the organization dedicated to the development and support of ice hockey officials. With his extensive experience and expertise, Rocco has made significant contributions to the sport, demonstrating his dedication to the growth and improvement of ice hockey officiating.

 

In addition to his role with NVIHOA, Rocco serves as the Service Center Manager at FedEx Freight, where he showcases his exceptional leadership abilities in running a large corporate department. His well-rounded background and diverse skill set make him a valuable asset in both the sports and business worlds.

 

Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Rocco's love for ice hockey and officiating has propelled him to a remarkable 30+ year career as an official. His commitment to the sport and his unwavering dedication to the NVIHOA have earned him a reputation as a respected veteran on the board. Rocco's leadership, expertise, and commitment to excellence continue to drive success in the Nevada Ice Hockey Officials Association and his other professional endeavors.

 

Outside of his professional pursuits, Rocco excels in balancing the demands of his professional and personal life. His ability to maintain a healthy work-life balance is a testament to his organizational skills and his commitment to both his career and his family.

Logan Wescott
Secretary

Logan's journey in sports began in the iconic Olympic village of Lake Placid, New York, where he was surrounded by the spirit of athletic excellence that includes “The Miracle on Ice” in 1980. Growing up near the Olympic training center, Logan quickly found a passion for both hockey and skiing, excelling in both disciplines.

 

After high school, Logan set his sights on the west coast and attended San Diego State University. There, he not only pursued his academic studies but also became a member of the SDSU football team from 2000 to 2004.

 

Following his college years, Logan turned his passion for sports into a career. Starting in the world of television and radio, he found his niche in selling high-profile sporting events for networks like NBC. From iconic events such as the Super Bowl, Olympics, Sunday Night Football, the Stanley Cup Final, and NHL on NBC.

 

However, Logan's involvement in the sports industry didn't stop at the media level. He also pursued his love for hockey by becoming an on-ice official in the American Hockey League. Being part of the fast-paced action on the ice allowed Logan to stay connected to the sport he loved while gaining a unique perspective on the game.

 

One of the highlights of Logan's career was his involvement in the launch of the Las Vegas Desert Dogs. Working alongside a star-studded ownership group that included celebrities like Joe Tsai, Wayne Gretzky, Steve Nash, and Dustin Johnson, Logan had the opportunity to not only work in the sports industry but also be a part of an organization with some of the most accomplished individuals in the business.

 

Throughout his career, Logan has demonstrated a deep love for sports, a drive for excellence, and a keen eye for opportunity. His diverse background, from being an athlete himself to working in various roles within the sports industry, has provided him with a well-rounded perspective and a wealth of experience. With his passion and dedication, Logan Wescott continues to make a significant impact in the world of sports.

Craig Vinciguerra
Treasurer

 

Craig Vinciguerra is a highly accomplished individual who serves as the treasurer and finance expert for the Nevada Ice Hockey Officials Association (NVIHOA). With his expertise and dedication, Craig has played a pivotal role in modernizing the association's operations, bringing them into the digital age. He successfully transitioned the association from using paper checks to implementing direct deposit systems, greatly streamlining the financial processes.

Craig's commitment to progress is evident in his efforts to upgrade the association's systems, such as transitioning from traditional timekeeping methods to the advanced Horizon Web Ref platform. Thanks to his contributions, NVIHOA has made significant strides, leaving behind the days of hand-written schedules and embracing more efficient and sophisticated approaches.

 

With over two decades of experience as an official with USA Hockey, Craig has consistently excelled at every level of the game. From collegiate matches to junior leagues and USA Hockey tournaments, he has showcased his expertise and passion for the sport. His remarkable skills have earned him the privilege of representing USA Hockey in seven national championships.

 

Not only does Craig excel on the ice, but he also plays an important role as an off-ice official for the NHL, serving as an arena technical coordinator. This position highlights his ability to handle critical responsibilities and contribute to the smooth operation of high-profile events.

 

Craig's leadership style is characterized by his hands-on approach and leading by example. He actively engages in the tasks at hand, demonstrating his commitment to the success of NVIHOA and its members. His extensive experience as both a treasurer and an experienced official makes him an invaluable asset to the association.

Jackson Kozari

Jackson Kozari is an esteemed figure in the world of ice hockey officiating, currently serving as the Director at Large of the Nevada Ice Hockey Officials Association. With a wealth of experience and an impressive skill set, Jackson has established himself as a highly skilled referee, primarily officiating games in the American Hockey League.

 

Hailing from British Columbia on the west coast of Canada, Jackson's passion for officiating began at a young age. Growing up in an officiating family, with his father Steve serving as a referee in the NHL and his brother Nate making his mark in the NAHL and USHL, Jackson was immersed in the world of hockey from an early age.

 

Throughout his career, Jackson has officiated at various levels, including USA Hockey, ACHA, BCHL, NAHL, and currently, the Western Hockey League (WHL) and American Hockey League (AHL). His expertise and deep understanding of the game have earned him the respect of players, coaches, and fellow officials alike.

 

But Jackson's impact extends beyond the ice. His dedication to nurturing and mentoring young officials has made him a respected leader in the NVIHOA. Through his development seminars, Jackson generously shares his knowledge and experiences, shaping the next generation of officials and ensuring the integrity of the sport.

 

With his exceptional talents, unwavering commitment, and genuine desire to give back, Jackson Kozari is a true asset to the world of ice hockey officiating. His contributions have left an indelible mark on the sport, making him a revered figure among his peers.
